A) Hand-Hewn Timber Beam (HTB Style): This antique mantel style is approximately 6-7" tall, 7-8" deep, hand-hewn square. Approximate cost is based on final length, size and mantel characteristics and will average  $286-$544+. Mantels feature various hand hewn/timber frame accents/notches. Call for pricing on custom lengths/depths/features needed.

B) Hand Crafted Log Mantel (HLM Style): Is a medium rustic style mantel with various profiles. Available are flat top and bottom, or flat top with a full-rounded front side exposed. Approximate dimensions are 6-8" tall, 7-9" deep. Prices will average from $338 - $560+.

Rustic Fireplace Mantel (RFM Style): Our most beautiful handcrafted mantel, with natural color, branch extensions, or other natural characteristics. Average dimensions are 7-10" tall and 7-10" deep. Based on the final size needed, costs will start at an average of $387 - $688+.
 Final prices will depend on mantel size and characteristics, amount of natural character, and final dimensional specifications. Custom sizes in length, depth, and heights are always available. 

WOOD SPECIES:The family of cedars is known throughout the housing industry as one of nature's premium woods. Very similar to the pines in color tones, the ability of cedar to withstand the effects of weather, and the naturally occurring properties which include it's resistance to insects, make it a popular wood to build with. 1) Membrane Peeled: The Membrane Peeled Surface is also very rustic. Insect markings, ingrain, and a more natural light brown color are some natural features.

B) Review the available options. These may include the lower log corbels/projections, special cuts or notches, prefinishing, the wildlife tracks, etc. Advise of any options you would like to add.

C)The RFM log mantels are the most rustic, unique 'character' log mantels. Upon receipt of your initial deposit, you will be provided with a photographic selection of the current  mantel inventory available for you to select your mantel from. This gives you the ability to physically see which mantels you would desire as your final choice. Why rely on someone elses interpretation of what you may like-or what they may have in stock? Your thoughts might be radically different than theirs. Why take a chance? Normally a selection of 15 - 20 + mantels are available for you to pick the mantel you want with all dimensional information for the mantel! Call as soon as possible to reserve your mantel choices after reviewing the color photos.

D) A packaging, crating fee will apply to prepare mantels for a shipment. For mantels up to 6' in length cost of $36-$48 will apply. For mantels 6'-8' long, a cost of $48-$68 will apply. For mantels longer than 8', crating fee to be quoted at same time mantel is selected. Detailed installation instructions are provided with mantel purchase, sent at time of shipment or pickup.

E) Our lay-away plan is available for those of you requesting to reserve a mantel for a future pickup or shipment, up to 90-120 days.

1)Full prefinishing service is available, choice of satin topcoat or gloss (shiny), in a transparent, clear color. Average costs will range from $48-$76 depending on mantel style and finishing requirements. Finishes are applied by hand, for a smoother professional finish.

2) For the lower log corbel members, cost will be $66-$86 per pair of 6 1/2"-8" dia. members, and $76-$92 per pair for 8"-9" dia. members. Larger diameters will be priced per order.

3) If the lower Log/Timber members are to be notched and attached into mantel, a scribe fit technique will be utilized. For labor and hardware to fasten members into mantel an average cost of $88-$158 will apply. Log members can be full rustic round or round with flat top.

4)Wildlife tracks: Moose, bear, deer, turkey, wolf, or rabbit tracks can be applied to a fireplace mantel for a very unique, personalized touch. Costs average $25-$35 per running foot of tracks. Footprints can be applied anywhere desired, such as surrounding knots or character details in the mantel, and to any degree. The tracks can make your mantel more unique and more personalized.

Wildlife Tracks: Moose, bear, wolf, deer, turkey, and rabbit tracks can be added to accent mantel areas like knots, burls, ingrain, etc.
